Leisure Power Check

Corrections

If a manufacturer’s own document says something different from this site, that document wins and we want to know. Send the URL. Corrections are answered within a week, the record is changed, and the change appears in the changelog with its source. Nothing you send is published. This page was live before either checker was.

How it works

  1. Say which record and what is wrong, with the URL of the document that shows the correct figure or wording.
  2. A human reads that document. If it is the maker’s, a standards body’s or a scheme’s own publication, the record is updated with the quotation and the date it was read. If it is press or a retailer, it is recorded as a secondary source and cannot replace a specification.
  3. The change appears in the record’s changelog labelled “correction”, in the site changelog and in the RSS feed. Your name and email are never shown.
  4. If we do not agree that a change is needed, we reply saying why, with the source we relied on.

Manufacturers: your own datasheet or manual is the primary source for your entry. Point us at it and the wording is replaced with the quotation. If a record is wrong in a way that could contribute to an unsafe installation, say so in the form and it is handled first, and the affected figure is withdrawn while it is checked.

Send a correction

The form sends an email to the editor and stores nothing. If the email service is unavailable, it opens your own mail app with the message filled in. If you give an email address it is kept only until the correction is resolved, then deleted (see the privacy notice). No analytics and no third-party scripts run on this page.

This site publishes what manufacturers and standards bodies have published. It does not design electrical installations and is not a substitute for a competent auto electrician or a habitation check.
